Preview: College Park Cavaliers vs. Dekaney Wildcats

The College Park Cavaliers are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Dekaney Wildcats at 11:45 a.m. on December 7th. Hopefully College Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.

College Park has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 27 points or more this season. They blew past Cleveland 73-35 on the road. Given College Park's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Cleveland is ranked 1368th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

College Park can attribute much of their success to Tristan Hampson, who scored 24 points along with 7 rebounds. Ian Inman was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.

Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Dekaney had to settle for a 56-54 loss against Klein on Tuesday.

College Park's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 48.33 points. As for Dekaney, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

College Park beat Dekaney 67-58 when the teams last played back in February of 2021. Will College Park repeat their success, or does Dekaney have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
