Fruitland put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the La Grande Tigers. Considering the Grizzlies have won 12 contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Bushong made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only two earned runs while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Fruitland got a big performance out of Coye Coffman, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jayden Grosdidier, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Fruitland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .553 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Fruitland pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for La Grande, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Coming up, Fruitland will be playing in front of their home fans against Kimberly at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight. As for La Grande, they will welcome Vale at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
