After a string of 13 wins, Chittenango's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitesboro Warriors. The Bears were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior), but the Warriors' pitcher proved too tough.

Chittenango saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danica Oppenheimer, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Chittenango's loss dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Whitesboro, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Chittenango will welcome Marcellus at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Whitesboro, they will venture away from home to take on Holland Patent at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
