Volleyball Recap: Laguna Beach Comes Up Short

If Laguna Beach was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mission Viejo on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Breakers fell 3-1 to the Aliso Niguel Wolverines on Thursday. The Breakers haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Laguna Beach started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-17.

Laguna Beach now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Aliso Niguel, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laguna Beach will face off against Corona del Mar at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aliso Niguel, they will challenge St. Margaret's at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
