Volleyball Recap: Audrey Wagner Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Brillion

Valders lost to Brillion back in August, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 win.

Valders never let Brillion on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-22.

Valders got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Audrey Wagner out in front who had 12 assists and seven digs. That's the most assists Wagner has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah McCulley, who had 12 digs.

Valders' win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Brillion, their defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 19-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Valders will take on rival Chilton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brillion is set to face off against their familiar foe Roncalli at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
