Avery Fangmeyer leads a balanced attack to beat Franklin

Recap: Red Cloud Warriors vs. Franklin Flyers

The Red Cloud Warriors had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 45-24 margin over Franklin. Red Cloud has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Red Cloud to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Fangmeyer, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adelynn Minnick, who scored 14 points.

Despite the loss, Franklin saw an underclassman step up: Olivia Haack scored six points along with three steals.

Red Cloud pushed their record up to 7-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.33 points. As for Franklin, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Red Cloud will be playing in front of their home fans against Sandy Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to square off against Blue Hill on Saturday. Hopefully Blue Hill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Friday.
