Baseball Recap: Tulia Comes Up Short

Tulia had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 14-8-1 to make it four. They lost 15-4 to the Childress Bobcats. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Aiden Marquez was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for Childress, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20th (when they won 17-3).

On Childress' side, Creedan Bell was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Bell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Koen Galligan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.

Looking ahead, Tulia will be playing in front of their home fans against Dalhart at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last six games the Wolves have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Childress, they will head out to challenge River Road at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
