Soccer Recap: Mahomet-Seymour Comes Up Short

Mahomet-Seymour lost against Champaign Central back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Maroons by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Mahomet-Seymour couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Noah Meints, who's now up to four this season.

Mahomet-Seymour now has a losing record of 6-7-3. As for Champaign Central, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9-2.

Mahomet-Seymour wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 1-0 loss against Mattoon on the 7th. As for Champaign Central, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-1 win against Rantoul on the 8th.
