Recap: Altamont Longhorns vs. Tintic Miners
The Altamont Longhorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The game between Altamont and Tintic wasn't particularly close, with Altamont falling 52-33. Altamont was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tintic apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Tintic was led to victory by Stockton Hansen and Luke Larsen. Hansen scored 15 points, while Larsen scored 15 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Larsen has scored at least 25% of Tintic's points. Another player making a difference was Cole Ward, who scored eight points along with six assists.
Altamont bumped their record down to 3-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Tintic, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Altamont will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Duchesne at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Tintic won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wendover at 4:00 p.m. on December 16th. Wendover is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
