Soccer Game Preview: Avon Grove Charter vs. Tri-State Christian

The Avon Grove Charter Wolves will challenge the Tri-State Christian Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Avon Grove Charter knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Tri-State Christian likes a good challenge.

Avon Grove Charter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against West Nottingham as they made off with a 7-2 victory. Ryan Stockar was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Tri-State Christian beat Delaware Valley Classical 3-1 on October 3rd. The win was all the more spectacular given Tri-State Christian's disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 202nd in Maryland, while Delaware Valley Classical are ranked 51st in Delaware).

Avon Grove Charter's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those four matchups. As for Tri-State Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3-1.

Avon Grove Charter took their win against Tri-State Christian in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 4-1 score. In that contest, Wolves amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
