Baseball Game Preview: Windsor Owls vs. Farmington Knights

The Windsor Owls will venture away from home to square off against the Farmington Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Friday just wasn't the day for Windsor's offense. They fell 4-0 to DeSoto on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Owls in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Farmington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over Festus on Friday.

Jackson McDowell was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Tatem Tinsley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Farmington, their record is now 16-6.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Windsor has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Farmington struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.9 strikeouts.
