Volleyball Game Preview: Newell-Fonda Mustangs vs. West Bend-Mallard Wolverines

Newell-Fonda is a perfect 7-0 against West Bend-Mallard since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home court against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Newell-Fonda is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since September 12, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Emmetsburg.

Meanwhile, West Bend-Mallard came up short against East Sac County on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost seven in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Bend-Mallard fell to 5-1. As for Newell-Fonda, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Newell-Fonda came out on top in a nail-biter against West Bend-Mallard when the teams last played back in September of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
