Basketball Recap: National Trail Comes Up Short

If National Trail was feeling good fresh off their 45-13 takedown of New Miami last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The National Trail Blazers fell to the Tri-County North Panthers 26-22. The loss continues a trend for the Blazers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Bella Cherry was her usual excellent self, putting up 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals for Tri-County North. Cherry has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Hemp, who posted four points along with five boards and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, National Trail fell to 3-1. As for Tri-County North, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-3.

National Trail wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 60-18 defeat against Milton-Union on the 9th. As for Tri-County North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 37-35 loss against Middletown Christian on the 7th.
