Preview: Kennedy Catholic Lancers vs. South Kitsap Wolves
The Kennedy Catholic Lancers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the South Kitsap Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Washington (Kennedy Catholic is ranked 171st, while South Kitsap is ranked 190th).
Last Thursday, Kennedy Catholic didn't have too much trouble with Federal Way on the road as they won 36-22.
Kennedy Catholic relied on the efforts of Paige Nadarski, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six steals, and Addie McDonough, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McDonough has scored all season. Riley Burns was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, South Kitsap managed to keep up with Puyallup until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. South Kitsap's rough 48-26 defeat to Puyallup might stick with them for a while.
South Kitsap's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kyla Hoisington, who scored 11 points, and Kamdyn Hagerty who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Kennedy Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for South Kitsap, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.
Saturday's game is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Kennedy Catholic have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like South Kitsap struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.7 rebounds per game.
