Baseball Recap: Post Wins Going Away Against Seagraves

Post never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Seagraves Eagles 8-0. The win continues a trend for the Antelopes in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Landyn Garcia was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Post is 3-1 when Garcia posts two or more runs, but 1-12 otherwise.

In other batting news, Cooper Osborn was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Cameron MenChaCa also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Post's record is now 4-13. As for Seagraves, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Post will head out on the road to square off against Sundown at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Antelopes are facing the Roughnecks at the right time seeing as the Roughnecks are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Seagraves, they will square off against Tahoka at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
