After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gilroy, Leland was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Leigh Longhorns. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Leland's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-3. As for Leigh, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leland will take on Willow Glen at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leigh, they will be taking part in a tournament against Carlmont at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
