Basketball Game Preview: Roscommon Bucks vs. Evart Wildcats

Roscommon is 0-10 against Evart since February of 2020 but things could change on Monday. The Roscommon Bucks will be taking part in a tournament against the Evart Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Roscommon's tournament run continued when they took on Oscoda on Friday. Everything went Roscommon's way against Oscoda as Roscommon made off with a 53-32 win. The Bucks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Evart waltzed into their game on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Ramblers by a score of 53-42. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Evart's victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points over those games. As for Roscommon, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Roscommon might still be hurting after the 53-30 loss they got from Evart in their previous meeting last Thursday. Can Roscommon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
