Volleyball Recap: Anderson Wins Going Away Against Crockett

Anderson not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 5, 2024 (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Crockett Cougars as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won nine in a row.

Anderson never let Crockett on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-24, 25-20.

Kate Leakey paced Anderson's offense, picking up 14 kills. Leakey got some help from Elaine Harrison and her 30 assists. Harrison also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Julia Jedrzejewski, racking up three apiece.

Despite the loss, Crockett still got an impressive performance from Jayden Baker, who had nine digs and two assists.

Anderson's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Crockett, they moved to 9-15 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Anderson is set to take on their familiar foe Cedar Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Crockett will challenge rival McCallum at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
