Basketball Game Preview: Livingston Manor Wildcats vs. Eldred Yellowjackets

Livingston Manor is 2-8 against Eldred since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Livingston Manor Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Eldred Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Livingston Manor is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were beaten by Tri-Valley 65-21.

Meanwhile, Eldred was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ellenville.

Livingston Manor will have to contain Olivia Gonzalez as she made an impact in Eldred's last game. She dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. Gonzalez's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Furler, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 18 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds.

Livingston Manor's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Eldred, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Livingston Manor might still be hurting after the 49-24 defeat they got from Eldred when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Livingston Manor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
