Sardis had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They blew past the Scottsboro Wildcats 19-6. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 14 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Levi Martin, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Belk, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Sardis' win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Scottsboro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sardis beat Scottsboro by a score of 19-6 later that day.
