Volleyball Recap: Vaughn's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

If Vaughn was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northridge Academy last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vaughn White Tigers fell 3-1 to the Kennedy Cougars on Friday. The game marked the White Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Vaughn started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 29-27, 25-21, 25-17.

Andrew Rivas paced Vaughn's offense, picking up 23 kills. Rivas got some help from Adam Santellano and his 40 assists. Abdias Acabal and Jonathan Andino kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
