Basketball Game Preview: Flowing Wells Caballeros vs. Buena Colts

Flowing Wells is 7-1 against Buena since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Flowing Wells Caballeros will host the Buena Colts at 7:00 p.m. Flowing Wells is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.

Flowing Wells is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since November 26, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 53-31 to Catalina Foothills. The game marked the Caballeros' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Flowing Wells' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Allison Verdugo, who posted ten points and five boards, and Renee Sotelo, who scored eight points. The dominant performance gave Sotelo a new career-high in points.

Meanwhile, Buena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-48 heartbreaker at the hands of Rincon/University.

Buena's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Flowing Wells, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.
