Recap: Falcon Falcons vs. Vista Ridge Wolves
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Falcon Falcons ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 65-61 W over Vista Ridge. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Eric Graham, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaak Lane, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Vista Ridge's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ian Glenn, who scored 12 points, and Josiah Johnson who scored 9 points along with 3 steals. Glenn continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Matthais Johnson, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 blocks.
The win makes it two in a row for Falcon and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Vista Ridge, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-6 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Falcon will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Palmer Ridge at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Palmer Ridge is ranked 76th, while Falcon is ranked 60th). As for Vista Ridge, they will square off against Standley Lake at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Standley Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
