Wheaton North faced Lake Park in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Lancers. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won eight contests in a row.
Not much got past Hannah Wulf, who gave up just five hits to keep Lake Park off the board. Wulf has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Reagan Crosthwaite was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Grantz, who went 3-for-4 with one run.
