Softball Recap: St. Clair's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Clair entered their tilt with Anchor Bay on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Tars. That's more bragging rights for the Saints, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hayley McFarlane spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Madisyn Treat, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Maliyah Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

St. Clair's victory bumped their record up to 14-2-2. As for Anchor Bay, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

Looking ahead, St. Clair will host Lakeview at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Anchor Bay, they will head out on the road to face off against Dakota at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
