Softball Recap: Sultana Takes a Loss

After flying high against Green Valley on Saturday, Sultana came back down to earth. Sultana came up short against Green Valley on Saturday, falling 12-2. The Sultans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gators earlier this season, when they won 11-4.

Sultana's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Green Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sultana will face off against Beaumont at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Green Valley, they will challenge Palo Verde at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Valley's pitchers better be ready for this one: Palo Verde has averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
