Basketball Recap: Tolar Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Tolar unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by the Peaster Greyhounds 68-28. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1092nd, while the Greyhounds are ranked 505th).

Carter Fidler was a one-man wrecking crew for Peaster as he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Fidler has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Rhett Kelley, who posted 12 points and six boards.

Tolar's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Peaster, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Tolar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-42 win against Early on the 7th. Peaster has also already played their next game, a 50-21 victory against Comanche on the 7th.
