Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Olney). They were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over First Philadelphia Prep on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Trojans needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

With the victory, Olney broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5. As for First Philadelphia Prep, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Olney will head out to square off against Abraham Lincoln at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for First Philadelphia Prep, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Nueva Esperanza at 12:30 p.m. Nueva Esperanza has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.5 runs per game on average), something First Philadelphia Prep will no doubt try to take advantage of.
