Liberty hadn't done well against West Plains recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Patriots walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wolves. The Patriots' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Liberty got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 21-25, 31-29, 25-16.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Idaly Sotelo, who had 26 digs and five assists. Sotelo is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Ava Barksdale was another key player, getting 19 digs and two aces.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for West Plains, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Liberty will face off against Wimberley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Plains, they will challenge Frenship at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
