Soccer Game Preview: Manatee vs. Parrish Community

The Manatee Hurricanes will challenge the Parrish Community Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Manatee's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Out-of-Door Academy 3-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Hurricanes were the better team in the second half.

Mario Arroyo-Alonso and Lucas Felix scored all three of Manatee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Meanwhile, Parrish Community waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Spartans as they made off with an 8-0 win. Given the Bulls' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Spartans are ranked 536th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Parrish Community pushed their record up to 11-2-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Manatee, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season.

Manatee came up short against Parrish Community in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Manatee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
