Softball Recap: Greenville Falls to Scott City in First Game of Season

Greenville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Scott City Rams by a score of 8-6 on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

C Stevens made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. T Wood was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Looking ahead, Greenville will challenge Twin Rivers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Scott City, they will be playing at home against Anna-Jonesboro at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
