Soccer Recap: Bowie Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

While Bowie's win against Austin wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bowie Bears won by a goal and slipped past the Austin Panthers 3-2. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Abraham Chaparro and Alan Carrera scored all three of Bowie's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 34 goals.

Bowie pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five matches. As for Austin, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Coming up, Bowie will face off against San Elizario at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. San Elizario knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Bowie likes a good challenge. As for Austin, they will square off against Mountain View at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
