Ira has gone 7-1 against Westbrook recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will host the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Ira has given up an average of 7.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Ira's offense. They came up short against Lubbock Christian on Thursday, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Westbrook's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Ira by a score of 14-13.

Lillian Gibson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Chavez, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Westbrook's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-9. As for Ira, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.

Ira came out on top in a nail-biter against Westbrook in their previous matchup on Tuesday, sneaking past 14-13. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
