Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Zori Pierce stepped things up a notch to give Lamar the 'W'. Pierce threw for 144 yards and three TDs on perfect 6-for-6 passing. The performance also marked the most passer rating (177.1) he has had since back in October of 2024.

Pierce and Lamar will square off against Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Silver Foxes had to take a loss when they last met the Eagles, but Pierce had little to do with the loss: he rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 166 yards and a pair of TDs.
