Volleyball Game Preview: Adrian Blackhawks vs. Lamar Tigers

For the first time this season, Adrian will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to take on the Lamar Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adrian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

On Tuesday, Adrian got the win against Versailles by a conclusive 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-9, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Lamar didn't have quite enough to beat Monett on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Cubs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lamar started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 24-26, 25-22, 26-24, 15-11.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8-3. As for Adrian, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6-1.

Everything went Adrian's way against Lamar in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Adrian made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blackhawks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
