Soccer Preview: Buckley Has Been Playing in a String of Close Ones

The Buckley Bears have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome the Benzie Central Huskies at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Buckley's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Buckley is headed into the matchup having not lost since August 21 and will look to keep things rolling. Neither they nor North Michigan Christian Academy could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Benzie Central lost 9-2 to Suttons Bay on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Benzie Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Suttons Bay are ranked 115th).

With that draw, Buckley's record moves to 4-1-2. As for Benzie Central, they have traveled a rocky road for a while, having lost 18 of their last 21 contests, dating back to last year. That leaves them at a 3-4 record this season.
