Colorado Academy dropped their record down to 17-4 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holy Family Tigers. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Mustangs, who until this game were averaging 3.38 runs allowed.

Jordan Reiter was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Kieran Delaney, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

As for Holy Family, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games.

On Holy Family's side, Nolan Brunner looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Brunner has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brady Anderson, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Isaiah Sandoval was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Coming up, Colorado Academy will square off against Dawson School at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Holy Family does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
