Basketball Recap: Smithville Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Smithville won against Caldwell last Tuesday with 53 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Smithville Tigers enjoyed a cozy 53-36 win over the Navasota Rattlers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 36-28 back in January.

Smithville has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. As for Navasota, their defeat ended a 15-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 22-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smithville will welcome Bellville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Smithville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Navasota, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against La Grange at 5:45 p.m.
