Softball Recap: Bryan Triumphs

Bryan got themselves on the board against Swanton on Monday, but Swanton never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The Golden Bears haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Thea Staten, who gave up just four hits and racked up 20 Ks to keep Swanton off the board. Staten has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Josey Arnold, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since April 1st.

Bryan's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Swanton, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-11.

Bryan has already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Evergreen on the 1st. As for Swanton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 21-9 victory against Wauseon on the 1st.
