Softball Game Preview: Brookwood Panthers vs. Saraland Spartans

The Brookwood Panthers will take on the Saraland Spartans on Thursday. Brookwood is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Brookwood will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Helena, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Panthers came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 8-3 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Saraland hadn't done well against Spanish Fort recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Spartans put the hurt on the Toros with a sharp 10-3 win. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 contests by six runs or more this season.

Saraland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-11-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Brookwood, their win bumped their record up to 38-16.
