Baseball Recap: Weed Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Weed came out on top against Tulelake on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Cougars took their contest against the Honkers 11-7. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Honkers: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jackson Keen, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Weed is undefeated when Keen posts two or more runs, but 3-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Hosino, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

Weed's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Tulelake, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-15.
