Basketball Recap: Diller-Odell Griffin vs. Southern Raiders
The Diller-Odell Griffin can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southern 67-29 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-15.
Myleigh Weers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 33 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Diller-Odell's points. Baileigh Vilda was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Diller-Odell now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Southern, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Diller-Odell will take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Falls City is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Southern, they will be playing at home against the Tigers on Tuesday. Lewiston has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
