Recap: Oley Valley Lynx vs. Saucon Valley Panthers
After losing to the Saucon Valley Panthers the last time they met, the Oley Valley Lynx decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Oley Valley managed a 55-51 win over Saucon Valley on Thursday.
Jack Robertson and Braden Weiss certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Robertson scored 21 points along with eight rebounds, while Weiss scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Robertson's eighth in a row with at least ten points.
Saucon Valley struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Oley Valley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Saucon Valley, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Oley Valley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tulpehocken at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. As for Saucon Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Northwestern Lehigh at 6:45 p.m.
