The biggest upset of the week belonged to Forward, who took down 251st ranked Belle Vernon, 35-6.

Ringgold's Demetrius Louis recorded the longest rushing play in WPIAL AAA Big Nine this season in his game against Uniontown last week. Louis' team bested the Red Raiders as he sprinted for 90 yards on the play and finished with 261 in all.

Joe Carroll put up the best numbers through the air as Thomas Jefferson defeated Trinity. He finished with 13 completions for 216 yards and six touchdowns. Carroll's favorite target this week was Jake Mascaro, who caught five passes for 85 yards.

Jordan Pratt was the best wideout in the league this week as Uniontown fell to Ringgold. Pratt tallied two receptions for 98 yards. Bru Martin helped Uniontown's passing attack out by catching one ball for 12 yards.

The Jaguars' Carroll and Zach Schademan have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Carroll has thrown for 803 yards this season, while Schademan, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 19 catches for 351 yards. Matt Humbert's team's Louis leads the league in rushing yards with 699.

A big matchup in WPIAL AAA Big Nine this week will be when the Rams take on West Mifflin. Ringgold is in third place, while the Titans are in first place.

The Warriors moved up to 233 from 400 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Forward was able to make the jump by beating the Leopards 35-6.
