Baseball Game Preview: LAMP Golden Tigers vs. Billingsley Bears

The LAMP Golden Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Billingsley Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. LAMP's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Billingsley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

LAMP blew Montgomery Academy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Montgomery Academy got their revenge. LAMP fell just short of Montgomery Academy by a score of 4-2. The Golden Tigers were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Eagles' pitchers proved too tough.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Billingsley's offense. They lost 6-0 to Thorsby on Saturday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Bears were not able to get on the board.

The defeat snapped LAMP's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13 runs. As for Billingsley, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.
