It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the SkyView Academy Hawks can now relate to. They were the victim of a rough 72-51 loss at the hands of the Coursers on Saturday. The matchup was a close 26-25 at the break, but unfortunately for SkyView Academy it sure didn't stay that way.

Jesus Aguirre and Isaac Dove certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Aguirre scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Dove scored 13 points. Aguirre is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kyle Cosart, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.

The Vanguard School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was JJ Wetters out in front who scored 11 points along with six assists and five steals. Wetters is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Nathan Morris was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds.

SkyView Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for The Vanguard School, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 23-1.

SkyView Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. The Vanguard School is on the road again on Thursday and plays Highland at 10:15 a.m. on March 7th. The Vanguard School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,016 points over their last 14 games.
