Soccer Game Preview: Chantilly vs. Wakefield

The Chantilly Chargers will face off against the Wakefield Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.

Chantilly is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Wednesday, they were much more limited against West Potomac on Thursday. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 1-0. The loss was Chantilly's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Wakefield hadn't done well against Herndon recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Warriors beat the Hornets by a goal, winning 2-1. Wakefield wouldn't have won without Masis Davitian, who scored the game-winner.

Wakefield's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three games. As for Chantilly, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
