Basketball Recap: Jose Greene's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Renaissance Academy over Morrisville

Renaissance Academy was the 83-45 winner over Morrisville when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Renaissance Academy Knights took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morrisville Bulldogs on Wednesday.

Renaissance Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jose Greene, who went 10 for 17 on his way to 22 points and three steals. That was a full 37.3% of Renaissance Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ed Breazeale IV, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards.

Renaissance Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Morrisville, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Renaissance Academy has already played their next matchup, a 64-43 defeat against Dock Mennonite on the 31st. As for Morrisville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-23 victory against Martin Luther on the 31st.
