It was a good run, but Appleton City unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lakeland Vikings by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Appleton City's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Lakeland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Appleton City nor Lakeland have any future games scheduled.
