Baseball Recap: Hunters Lane Comes Up Short

Hunters Lane extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-12 in the process. They lost 21-8 to the Hume-Fogg Blue Knights. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Knights earlier this season, when they won 14-9.

Cameron Reese was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

As for Hume-Fogg, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-14. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Hume-Fogg's side, they got a massive performance out of Buren Bradley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Bradley is becoming a predictor of the Blue Knights' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 8-14 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of William Currie, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Looking ahead, Hunters Lane will square off against East Nashville Magnet at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hume-Fogg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
